Looking for the perfect catch crop? Winfred produces high protein, leafy forage in only 6-8 weeks. This forage rape seed also has high seedling vigor, giving it a more reliable establishment than other catch crops such as kale. The catch crop also performs well during winter thanks to its innate hardiness, making it better in winter than stubble turnips alone. Winfred is highly palatable, it’s bolting resistance produces high quality summer grazing, and it offers better regrowth potential than other varieties of catch crop. Care should be taken when changing an animal’s diet from grass to high protein brassicas (especially in Summer).
